ABOUT US
All companies start with an idea and a plan, and ours isn’t any different. Over a few decades ago in 1986 our founder (photographer & engineer), was sitting at home and thinking about copy stands asking himself why do all of them work “Vertically”?
TRACK COPYING SYSTEM (1991), COPYSTAND.COM
You know how hard it is to check the image through the camera’s viewfinder in a vertical copy stand. Of course, producing the idea didn’t come easy especially when there were a lot of huge companies that produced the vertical copy stands. Finally in 1991 with a new design, a little bit of funding, and some sleepless nights in a tiny garage in Chatsworth started running the first Track Coping System in 3 models and presented to the public by Memo Company at the 1992 PMA Show in Las Vegas and site of “copystand.com”. All the TCS stands are equipped with a magnetic board to keep the original flat on the panel, double aluminum tracks, and an adjustable camera holder. At that time, we exported the new TCRs to the UK, Australia, and Belgium.
In 1998 new technology started arriving in the photography industry and the “scanner” machine was a powerful competitor for copy stands. Finally, in the year 2000 all the copy stand factories were closed, as well as ours!
KEY RACKS (2004), KEYSTAND.COM
After a few years of researching and designing, in the year 2004, we developed a new wide range of key stands at the “Stand Company” and “keystand.com”. We started to produce a new extensive line for key holders, to help the organizations organize their keys on different models of key stands with different hooks, shapes, and sizes. In 2014 we expanded our facilities and established the: “International Stand Company” as a cooperation for all our activities.
CUSMO MINI COPY STANDS (2019)
In the year 2016, when searching on Google, we found the new high-pixel cameras could be a strong competitor with the scanners special when they need to have high-quality digital copies or video. The great photographer recommended making copies with your camera instead of a scanner. For copying with the camera, the photographers need to have a copy stand and all of the imported copy stands in the market are very big, heavy, expensive, and also need a lot of space for storage. After 3 years of research, finally, in June 2019 we at copystand.com started to produce 2 small models of copy stands named Cosmo Mini 300, Mini 500, and later Mini 100 and Mini 700 (these 2 models are designed for smartphones). Now most families use our copy stand with their camera or phone to save vintage photos and store them digitally to make a “family Tree”. Today most students make money with our stand and their phones to digitize old pictures to a digital file for family and friends.
Today we manufacture over 50 models of keystands, 5 models of Copy Stands, 8 models of Floating Mag Stands, and also other items in production like Memo Stand, Dry Stands, Tape Stand, and more under one roof with all full CNC types machinery in the industrial zone of the Van Nuys, California with all products sold on our new website McStand.com.
